Stayed in the Haven over Xmas, fantastic location. Walking distance to pubs, shops and takeaways. Had Xmas day meal in a lovely pub in Bakewell (Castle Inn) everyone friendly. Pub at the back of the cottage warm and friendly. Lovely park next to the Whitworth Hotel to walk the dog.

The cottage was lovely - very high standard of furnishing etc. It was in a beautiful area - very easy to access a host of attractions. There was a great little pub just a few yards away-and the local customers were very friendly. Some great eating places around - the best one we found was The Grouse and Claret about 2 miles along the road towards Bakewell. We had a lovely holiday and felt we could have stayed in the cottage forever!

What a wonderful holiday! The cottage was immaculate, in a great location and it was the perfect short break for a romantic, walking holiday. The ultimate bonus was a great traditional pub right on our doorstep - we will definitley be re-booking!

I would sincerely recommend this cottage to families. Our two small children loved the Peak District and the proximity to the Peaks/Heights of Abraham and day to day activities ensured they were not in the car too long. The accommodation was better than expected - we could not have wished for more.
